As of September 2026, all Emerson Custom 500K and 550K split-shaft pots have transitioned to a flat-back design.
Depending on current inventory, you may receive either the previous dish-back version or the new flat-back version. Both versions have the same feel, performance, and specifications.
We made the switch to the flat-back design to make soldering braided wire to the back of the pot easier during installation.
Please note: Our product photos may still show the previous dish-back design while existing inventory is being transitioned. The pot itself remains the same in performance and function.
