Description
SHORT SPLIT SHAFT SPECS
- 1/4" split shaft for fine-knurled (24-spline) US Spec knobs.
- 250K's Typically used on Strats
- 500K's Typically used on SG's, Flat Top Non Carved Top Les Pauls, PRS's, LP Jr's, Jazzmasters and many other models of guitars, but can be used on any guitar that requires a 500K Split Shaft Potentiometer.

Installation Tips for Knobs on Split Shaft Pots
CTS split shaft pots are made to fit USA Spec 24 spline push-on knobs. Import Guitars will need new USA Spec Knobs. We recommend that you slightly crimp together the top of the potentiometers shaft ever so slightly so that when you go to push on the knob you don't damage the pot shaft by exerting too much downward pressure.

POT VALUES:
We Spec these pots to be over the stated value rather than under. With tolerances you can get a -/+ swing of quite a bit, so we've chosen to aim for a little over, so that the actual end value is closer to our target range.
- 250K pots are spec'd to 275K, so they'll likely read from 240K to 280K Ohms
- 500K pots are spec'd to 550K, so they'll likely read from 490K to 570K Ohms
- 1Meg Pots are spec'd to 1Meg, so they'll likely read from 900K to 1025K ohms

Each CTS pot includes a flat washer, lock washer, and 1 hex mounting nuts for custom height adjustment on a pickguard, control plate, or directly on to the guitars top from inside the control cavity.
